Generate Report - Payment Method Summary Report

The Payment Method Summary Report offers a detailed breakdown of payments received, categorized by payment methods. It allows businesses to customize the report based on customers and users to meet specific needs.

Below is a guide to generate and interpret this report effectively.

1. Access the Report Section

  • Navigate to the Reports section of your dashboard.
  • Select Generate Report from the list of available reports.

2. Define the Report Parameters:

  • Category: Ensure that Sales is selected as the category.
  • Report: Choose Payment Method Summary Report from the report options.
  • Report Description: This report breaks down the total amount of payments received according to each payment method and is customizable to your specific needs, allowing you to specify particular customers and users as per your requirements.

3. Set Date and Time Range

  • In the Start Date and End Date fields, specify the date range for the report.
  • Optionally, set specific times using the Start Time and End Time fields.
  • You may also use present options such as Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month,
    This Year, or Last Year for convenience.
  • For a complete dataset, click All.

4. Filter by Customer

  • Use the Customer field to filter payments received from a specific customer.
  • Click the magnifying glass icon to search and select a customer from the list.
  • Click on green Plus sign (+) to add new customer.
  • Leave the Customer field blank to include all customers.

5. Filter by User

  • Use the User field to filter payments received by a specific user. This is useful for tracking individual staff performance in handling transactions.
  • Leave it blank to include all users.

6. Generate the Report

  • After completing all selections, click the Submit button.
  • The system will process your request and display the report data based on your selected criteria.

7. Export or Print the Report

  • Available column options include: Paid By (Cash, Check or Credit Card) & Amount
  • Export: Download the report in Excel format.
  • Print: Print the report directly from the system.
