Generate Report – Sales Tax Report

The Sales Tax Report provides a comprehensive and detailed breakdown of all tax amounts collected within a specified period, segregated by the individual tax rule configured in your POS. This report is crucial for ensuring regulatory compliance, simplifying tax remittance, and maintaining accurate financial transparency.

  1. Access the Report Section
  2. Navigate to the Reports section of your dashboard.
  3. Select Generate Report from the list of available reports.

  4. Define the Report Parameters:

  5. Category: Ensure that Tax is selected as the category.
  6. Report: Choose Sales Tax Report from the report options.
  7. Report Description: Shows the amount of tax collected over a certain period. IK Technologies does not offer tax advice; Please talk to your accountant to check if this is right for your use case.

  8. Set Date and Time Range

  9. In the Start Date and End Date fields, specify the date range for the report.
  10. Optionally, set specific times using the Start Time and End Time fields.
  11. You may also use present options such as Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or Last Year for convenience.
  12. For a complete dataset, click All.

  13. Generate Report:

  14. Click the Submit button to generate the report.

Report Overview:

The report layout includes the following columns: - Tax Name: The name of the specific tax rule as configured in the Administration panel (e.g. TOBACCO TAX) - Total Tax: The total collected tax amount attributed to that specific tax name within the defined date range.

Export and Print Options:

  • Use the Export button to download the report in Excel format.
  • Click the Print button for a hard copy of the report.
